Borovetz is the oldest mountain resort where skiers can experience the thrills of the powder slopes in winter, and hikers enjoy the green freshness of the mountains in summer.
Situated 1350 m above sea level on the northern slopes of Rila Mountain among age old pine woods, Borovetz is located at the foot of peak Mousala (2925 m) - the highest point on the Balkan Peninsula.
Borovetz is easily accessible, being at a distance of 73 km from Sofia and 126 km from Plovdiv. The town of Samokov is only 10 km down the road from the resort.
In addition to the Skiing and mountain hiking, a Jack Nicklaus Designed Golf Course is being built in the surrounding area of Borovetz.
